| Imani Radio is an
International Christian Ministries outreach program that was founded to spread the gospel
of Jesus Christ through radio & T.V. media. Imani is a Kiswahili word for
Faith, which is our mission verse quoted from the book of Romans 10:17; which states,
“So faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Our manadate is to spread the Gospel according to Mathew 28:19; “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”. The station was founded on a strong faith in Christ and it is mainly supported by friends and Christians of good-will. We are currently operating one frequency with a potential 7.2 million listeners in the North Rift, Western Kenya and along the Eastern borders of Uganda. Our desire is that those who have not heard the good news, get an opportunity to receive the gospel through radio, in addition, this station will also act as a refueling station for spiritual nourishment for believers. We have a huge population of people who have not been reached with the gospel especially in the areas that we are broadcasting in. Currently the indigenous people of Pokot are receiving our broadcasts for the first time since independence. We have had so many testimonies from the members of this pastoralist community on what the Lord is doing in their lives since we began reaching them with the gospel. We desire to provide high quality broadcasting with emphasis on God’s Word so that our listeners may be reached with the true gospel of Christ and not heresy; These will enable our listeners build their faith in Christ Jesus. We emphasize on the fact that people should learn to live by Faith for the bible says without Faith we cannot see God. As a station we live by Faith in regard to our day to day running. We trust the Lord for donations and well-wishers to give to the service of the Lord. The station steers clear of volatile political issues while at the same time bringing credible and uncompromised information to its audience as it strives to enhance Christian values in such issues. The station has put much emphasis in highlighting issues that leads to spiritual nourishment & economic empowerment for the communities. |
